Strategery App Reviews

Great, simple, addictive.

I love this game--its new to me. Colorful, relaxing, strategic, good for short breaks from real life. 5 stars for the game itself, but 3 stars for the app as a whole. Because outside the game, the UI is not great. Playing on iPad Air 2.

Great!

Just discovered this one...already love it. But two requests: - Others have asked for this too: provide an option for moving armies. Can be turned off by default, but its silly not to have it. - Bigger annoyance: if Im playing the computer and I get eliminated, let me see the rest of the game between the computer players! I hate getting cut off at that point. Other than that, perfect simplicity.

I am the very model Of a modern iPhone strategist, And of the war games that Ive played On my device it tops the list. If you enjoy a challenge And arent easily unbalanced Then I recommend to you to pay The modest fee and start to play. You wage your war on colored maps And if you lose the game plays "Taps" But if you move your armies right And keep your head on fairly tight You may find that you won the war And that youre coming back for more.

Great game

I like the game. Its very much like Risk with the strategy involved. I would like to see the AI be a little more proactive in defensive strategies and "cutting" stronger opponents in half to reduce the armies they recruit. Id also like, at least the OPTION, to move armies from one territory to another. Even if it was simply moving it to an adjacent one.

Finally, the bottom of the barrel...

Im not sure what insanity makes people play dice games, aside from the compulsion to lose. Now this game may be wonderful as a multiplayer game. You could even play all of the countries yourself in single player mode, but you will still be doing nothing but watch the computer go through its dice algorithm, which is about as close to real dice as fleas are to a piano. And this is simply a stupid game. Or, if you prefer, lame. My apologies to all of the apps creators who probably spent hours coming up with glowing reviews. PS: tried playing three humans against two CPU. Attacked an underarmed CPU with three full armies. Lost all three, zip, zip, zip. Next turn this same country (still underarmed) went through my full armies like a knife through cheese. In this day and age this is inexcusable unless the programmers never went to school.

Sneaky

Just discovered this app helps its self to my complete contacts list. The app Never requested this permission and there is no way in setup to deny/stop it. Begs the question what else its programmed to do. Apple is obviously getting sloppy....

Love it.

Been playing for a year or so. Would love to see custom maps added to this! But overall, I love this game.

YES! An Update! (Updated Update Review)

Update: the game is practically unplayable now. Most of my long standing opponents have just given up. This is a great game, but so incredibly buggy. The developers have up on it long ago, so its a shame they still see fit to sell a broken product... Heres to hope... This gem of a game from an Indie shop of developments has been, hands down, the most used ( non-email, non-browser) app on my iOS devices, going back to the iPhone 3. I was afraid the developers had given up on updates, so it was like finding a big ole Easter egg to fire up the App Store and see an update. By far the best multiplayer strategy game out there. (And for the record, not stranding your armies is part of the strategy, not a game shortcoming. Ditto for making the most of not going first).

Wonderful game, very buggy tho

My favourite iOS game by far, but both single and multiplayer modes are quite buggy, the latter one to the extent that its practically unplayable. Id be more than happy to pay again for a new version, just please please fix those bugs.

Meh

The dice algorithm seems to be getting worse with each update. No longer worth playing.

Well done!

Love this game

Ignore the hater

Great version of risk, fun and a quick pickup. Holds status between plays. Plus Bush reference in title
